There is something intimate and poetic about all loved gardens, and you captured that perfectly in this article. Like you, I started with potted flowers on a balcony. Not once but many times, in 3 states, always hoping one day to plant in my own yard, should I be so lucky. Happily- it became a reality 21 years ago. My story is so similar! I lived in five apartments (in two different states), but a balcony was an absolute requirement in any place we moved. When I came back to Michigan, it was to be able to move to a piece of land that I could learn and grow and love. Such a journey, such a blessing!
