Val, your words always speak so beautifully to a knowing that I feel so deep within my bones. Thank you for sharing your art with us all. Every time I see a new post from you, I cuddle up with a cozy beverage and a bundle of blankets and soak up every word you write. It's become one of my favorite rituals.

Oh Val, you spoke from my heart and those words touched me deeply! I have started to call my own work (I'm a yoga teacher, forest bathing instructor and writer) spiritual nature conservation and what you are writing here is exactly that. I, too, believe that it's the storytellers, artists and poets who have the power to change the world for the better. So thank you so much for this beautiful story and beginning of my day. Sending you lots of love from Switzerland, Silvana

Silvana, it makes total sense from your name (meaning of the forest) that this work would call to you! It's so beautiful how these paths unfold and we just have to trust the process. Thank you for doing the important work that you're doing, sending love right back!

Love this Val. I read that book a long time ago and it spoke to me as well...I agree with you about all you wrote. There is so much potency and magic in the "small" things - that's why I left all I left to become a farmer and to stay out in the country far from the "madding crowd" and help people see how important it is to get one's hands dirty, understand where their food comes from, get some soil under their fingernails, and learn about the process...after all, they are made of the food they eat. Sometimes people don't understand that...as amazing as that sounds. Also wanted to say that I LOVE the planner!! Glad I got it. Thanks for making it. EWA :-)

It is shocking to see the disconnect between people and food. Sometimes I think healing this relationship between people, plants and soil would solve nearly all of society's current problems. Thank you for doing what you do and being a part of that awakening my friend! Ah, and so glad you got the planner, I hope you enjoy it next year! XOXO

Thank so much for this Val. I'm a climate activist just starting to share a vision (I"m calling Reclaim the Flower) with the activist community that came to me recently : an experience way outside my comfort zone. Your words help me appreciate the value and potential power in the pre-articulate, the visual: the need for messages untamed by our over developed rational minds. Your writing has given me much needed courage. Thank you.

This sounds fascinating Joe, I'm so glad you've decided to put this out into the world! And humbled to be a tiny part of it :) I firmly believed if you feel pulled toward something, it is important, if not essential. Wishing you all the best on that journey.

I’m sharing this with my son who lives in Asheville. They are struggling so right now! He’s a musician and light bearer. And his heart is heavy. Thank you for this wonderful story!

Shannon, it was so heartbreaking to see and hear the aftermath in Asheville and surrounding areas. I'm glad your son is ok, though so sorry for what he's had to go through. I hope he finds a way to recover and move forward with purpose.
