Squeee I love me a good book list, Val! These all sound so scrumptious, I'm adding them to my to-read list.

I'm currently devouring yet another series from Sarah J. Maas. I flew through A Court of Thorns and Roses series last year, and recently started the Throne of Glass series (currently on book #4!). This year I read some wonderful fantasy / magical / folklore books, and my favorites were The Bear and the Nightingale series, Nettle and Bone (you would like this one!), and Spinning Silver. Circe was a god read too! Oh, and Children of Blood and Bone, a series I started a couple years ago and am currently waiting for the third book to come out... Highly recommend it for some fantasy from a Black author, centering West African folklore!

Cat, I don't know WHAT wavelength we're on, but it must be the same one! I've literally read all of the books that you listed, and they are all in my top favorite books list. ACOTAR was my introduction to fantasy years ago and I haven't been the same since haha! (Feels like I've been waiting for the next book in the series for centuries now though) Good to know we have such similar tastes :)

Ahaha why am I not suprised?! I've never been the same since ACOTAR either... What a series! I must say I'm enjoying the Throne of Glass series as well, some of the same elements are there, but it's a whole different mood (and yes, just as smutty! 🤭)

I have to say I have not finished that series yet, but I also thoroughly am enjoying it! I do like a little *romance* with my fantasy ;)

Thanks for the recommendation on books, I will be ordering The Bone Houses and Garden Spells. A dear friend highly recommend The Only One Left by Riley Sager and it arrived today. I can't wait to start it!

Good choices, I think you will fall in love with them. Both authors have some other great books too if you want to go down the rabbit hole. I've never heard of The Only One Left, I will be checking it out! Thanks for sharing!
